We are excited to announce the third season of Kingston’s own orchestra devoted wholly to historically-informed practice of music from the Baroque era!
Our 2023-2024 Season will feature 4 Friday in-person concerts featuring your Baroque favourites with exciting guest performers and a special ‘extra’ performance with the Dan School Faculty Artist Series on September 24!
We begin with a Baroque Festival of Music, Art and Dance:
October 6, 2023 – 5:15 pm Concert – Enchanted Steps
The Kingston Baroque Consort present dance music by Charpentier, Telemann and Purcell with
Special guest: violinist, Christina Zacharias of Tafelmusik
October 7, 10am – noon Workshop: Baroque Performance practice for instrumentalists with Christina Zacharias
October 14, 1:30-2:30pm Workshop: Baroque dance steps with Edgar Tumak

October 14, 3-4pm Lecture: Louis XIV, Versailles, the King of Siam, and Ballet-Opera Diplomacy in the 17th Century with Gauvin Bailey
