Hear the brilliant gifts of historic women composers and performers, and passionate music about women, from Persia, the Arabic world and Europe, 6th – 18th centuries as well as beautiful music from the Baroque including Katie Legere playing the Andante molto from Vivaldi’s Bassoon concerto in A minor.
Together with Melos Choir & Period Instruments, we will shed light on women’s voices, roles, and images in historic music. Includes music by women composers such as Hildegard, Strozzi, Cozzolani; Songs of love and motherhood, with historic readings, West & East.
