Invention, Ornament, and Excess: a celebration of Baroque music and poetry

Our second concert treats you to the music and poetry of the baroque era featuring Julia McFarlane on violin and Katie Legere on bassoon joined by Jeff Hamacher, gamba and Michael Capon, harpsichord with poetry readings by Phil Rogers.

The program will feature music by Baroque composers Johann Ernst Galliard (Germany), Jean Marie Leclair (France), Dario Castello (Italy), Luigi Merci (England), and poetry by John Milton, Jean LaFontaine, Anne Finch, and Aphra Behn.
