Live from the backyard presents “Sorrento” Sunday, Aug 29, 5pm

“Sorrento” is Chris Alfano on the Clarinet accompanied by Ian FItze on the Piano Accordion. Playing timeless classics from the early 20th century and throughout the golden age of popular song, they create a sound which is surprisingly full and dynamic, yet at times both danceable and meditative. Hum along to unforgettable melodies like, I’m in the Mood For Love, Edelweiss, Besame Mucho, Somewhere My Love, and many more.

We ask that you bring a chair or blanket to sit on. Masks will currently be needed to enter and leave (although you may remove them when seated) and Provincial health guidelines are still in effect. Admission is $20. Please RSVP to Katie at legerek@queensu.ca ! Looking forward to some live music! We are 1204 Highway 2, Kingston.

Chris and Ian

Sorrento began playing together in the early 1990’s and have performed over nearly thirty years at many functions including: retirement parties, birthday celebrations, weddings and as a background for dinner music at events such as “Bon Appetit Ottawa” and Kingston’s “Festival of the Trees”.

Sorrento

Imagine yourself in the Italian countryside and you can almost hear the sweet sounds of your favourite songs played on clarinet and accordion.

Chris Alfano and Ian Fitze will serenade you with such classics as Spanish Eyes and Days of Wine and Roses.

Nothing could possibly be more appropriate or more romantic for your anniversary reception or afternoon garden party.
